Upcoming Mixology Seminars


If you are interested in learning more about crafting cocktails, the Museum of the American Cocktail offers mixology seminars at locations around the U.S.

Over the next few months you can catch our own Robert Hess teaching three classes at Olivers in the Mayflower Park Hotel. Olivers has long been known for making the top martini in town so this seems like a fitting place to host these classes. The classes and dates for Seattle are:

  • History of the Cocktail - Tuesday, March 6
  • Cocktails 101: How to stock and use your home bar - Tuesday, April 11th
    with Ryan Magarian
  • Shaken and Stirred: Everything about the martini - Tuesday, May 9th
    with Ryan Magarian

All classes are at Olivers, 405 Olive Way, Seattle

Currently, just one class is scheduled for San Francisco. It will be taught by Julio Bermejo, a renowned tequila expert and Dale DeGroff, the King of Cocktails.

  • Da-Me Agave! Great Tequilas from Mexico! - Thursday, March 16th

This class will be held at Tres Agaves, 130 Townsend Street, San Francisco,

The New York seminars are taught by a variety of cocktail aficionados.

  • Mixed Up, Muddled and Shaken: A Curious History of the American Cocktail - Tuesday, April 18
    Dale DeGroff, David Wondrich
  • All in the Family: Learn to create a myriad of cocktails from a few simple formulas - Wednesday, May 3rd
    Gary Regan
  • Kitchen Cocktails - Monday, May 15th
    Anistatia Miller and Jared Brown
