Absolut Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz has created a new track based on his interpretation of the Absolut Vodka experience. The track is called, Breathe. But the project doesn’t stop there. That track was then remixed by ten other artists from around the world including, Little Louie Vega, Wang Lei, and Jazzanova. All tracks and corresponding videos are available as free downloads at AbsolutTracks.

Absolut has a history of partnering on some very cool projects. They’ve worked with Andy Warhol on Absolut Art; several fashion designers including Versace and Gucci on Absolut Fashion; and this third project with Kravitz for Tracks.

You can check out the full press release here.

I dunno, when the Kravitz track came out in November I listened to it and it just seemed like a track that Lenny wrote and then didn’t want to put it on an album or something, so he just gave it to Absolut for use.

Looking forward to the other stuff to see if it gets better.

“Well, Dick, the lyrics aren’t much but it’s got a great beat - I can dance to it! I give it an 85!”

Oops, that was in a past life, wasn’t it?

Hi Rick!
I do like the beat - it gets my toes tapping and my head bopping and I’d be up dancing around the house in no time. Plus, I like the idea of getting to see how 10 others mix it. I think it’s a fun (and free!) experiment. And, although they are obviously promoting their products, there’s something to be said for promoting art in any way, shape or form. At least IMHO. :-)
