					<description>Hi Jonathan!  Glad to know you liked the drink - I've always thought of is as a nice changes of pace.  

Boy, it's been some time since I did the research for this but I believe I did find references to Cypriot Brandy.  My guess, though, is that it's not something that's widely exported, if at all.  

Fun project to cook all the UN countries' meals!  I might have to bring that up in my cooking club!

					<description>On our blog we're cooking meals representative of every UN member nation and we recently cooked a meal that was supposed to represent Cyprus.  On some websites, we found that this Brandy Sour was the "national drink" of Cyprus.  I wonder how the Turkish Cypriots feel about that!

Anyways, we made it and loved it.  I was surprised how much the Angostura Bitters changed the flavor structure.

A question:  Is there any Cypriot brandy?  We only found Metaxa, a Greek brandy.</description>
