Happy Easter!


Hazlenut MartiniIt’s Easter and, of course, our thoughts turn to chocolate. What goes with chocolate better than anything? How about nuts? How about hazlenuts?? One of the best combinations ever! So with that in mind, and just to torture Scribes a bit more, I present to you the Hazlenut Martini. (Hope you like it Scribes!) This is another cocktail from Ben Reed.

Hazlenut Martini

1 3/4 oz vodka
3/4 oz white creme de cacao
2 tsp. Frangelico
grated nutmed, for the glass

Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into a frosted martini glass rimmed with grated nutmeg.

That sounds pretty good. Do you think it’d be overkill to pair this with nutella?

Hi Mike!
This drink is not really sweet - especially with the nutmeg on the rim. I don’t eat enought nutella to have a good feel for how well they would work together, but it certainly wouldn’t be too much sweet.
