Tales of the Cocktail

From the website:
New Orleans will once again be home to Tales of the Cocktail, a dining and drinking experience that explores the history and spirit of the cocktail this summer at various locations in the New Orleans French Quarter and headquartered at the Hotel Monteleone.
Experience a classic New Orleans weekend of food, fun and music, mixed with historical landmarks, literature and libations, all poured together with an exciting and educational look at cooking and mixology. No other culinary event features a similar schedule with book-signings, dinner pairings, cocktail parties, entertainment, cooking and cocktail mixing demonstrations and seminars with such a powerful roster of hosts and presenters. New Orleans welcomes you to savor the spirit of our beloved city at Tales of the Cocktail. Sip a cocktail and stay a while…
Tales of the Cocktail is filled with luminaries and VIPs from the cocktail world (who is that I see down in the Hs?), as well as numerous spirit-related sponsors! Each day there are several events from which to choose - tours, seminars, brunches and cocktail hours. I’m thinking that “Martinis and Makeovers” has a nice ring to it! And of course, being in the historic city still working to recover from Katrina would be an event in itself.
Registration is open now or sign-up for the newsletter to keep up with the news. Some events are free, some around $20 or you can get full access to everything for $275.
