Bottle Your Own
Back in January, Sal provided us with a quick primer on Scotch whisky. Well, you can put that new found knowledge to good use the next time you are in the country - especially if you are looking for a gift or two to bring home. Even if it’s just for yourself!
According to a recent article in Travel and Leisure magazine a shop in Edinburgh, Demijohn, allows you to sample the products and then choose your own bottle (size and shape) for packaging.
They keep all liquids in demijohns, hence the name, so that you can customize your purchase. In addition to Scotch whisky, they also carry liqueurs, other spirits such as gin and cider brandy, vinegars, and olive oil.
Their site says they’ve recently opened a location in Glasgow, in addition to the Edinburgh location.
