Beckoning Fall

With cool breezes in the air, the smell of crisp leaves, pumpkin patches and hot apple cider are not far away. Fall is, hands down, one of my favorite holidays, and we go right along with everything the season has to offer; fall foliage drives, decorating our yard for Halloween, visiting local apple farms for apple and pumpkin picking … it just doesn’t get much better than that, especially since we share it all with our four-year-old son, Nicholas. What better excuse do we need to jump in a big pile of fresh raked leaves?

Part of the fun in changing seasons is planning your cocktails, dinner parties and desserts around the inspirations that the current season brings forth. Although the “official” start of Fall is just shy of two weeks away, you can kick it off a bit earlier with an Apple Pie, a delicious Harvest cocktail that celebrates Fall flavors. Bottoms up!
