International Beer Challenge 2007

The UK’s chief beer competition, the International Beer Challenge, has just opened their website. The competition bills itself as the largest packaged beer competition in the world.

Each year, the Challenge discovers and rewards the finest beers from across the globe and, in association with Off Licence News, a UK trade newspaper, publishes it’s list of the ‘World’s 50 Best Beers’.

The Challenge attracts international entries and is supported by some of the world’s biggest brewers. The winning brands will be published in the ‘World’s 50 Best Beers’ and will also receive huge publicity in other industry-leading titles such as Drinks International, CLASS and Wine & Spirit.

Beers are divided into 12 classes and rigorously judged and assessed on both taste and packaging by a panel of the industry’s leading beer experts. The winning beer from each of the 12 classes together with the overall Supreme Champion and winning international entry will be presented with their award at the prestigious IBC awards ceremony at Bluebird, London on 3 October 2007.

The newly launched website is the place to head for to download an entry pack if you happen to produce your own, potentially award winning, brew.
