But then I saw it in the last issue of imbibe magazine, and I thought I'd give it a go. The recipe given there has very different proportions: 2oz dry vermouth 1/4oz benedictine 3 dashes absinthe Stir for 30 seconds with ice. Orange peel garnish. I haven't tried it, but I imagine this could be turned into a pretty decent long drink by topping it up with soda. I’d seen this before on Drinkboy, but never got around to making it. Add more crushed ice to fill. Don’t forget Don the Beachcombers’ Test Pilot:
