BeerPorn - Three Belgian Beers

Over in Europe a bunch of bloggers are in the middle of a surprise parcel exchange - Euro Blogging By Post.

Each participant sends off a parcel of food and, in return, receives one from a mystery sender. My parcel arrived yesterday from Andreaa in Brussels, who writes on the food blog On Food and Wine. Amongst the chocolate, biscuits and gummy bears were three bottles of beer.

Belgium, of course, being famous for chocolate and beer.

I’ve not seen any of these in the UK, well at least not locally, so am hugely excited to receive them. According to Andreaa the Lindemans Apple beer (3.5% alcohol) is new to the market. The Trappist beer from Rochefort comes in with a heady 9.2% alcohol - a serious number indeed, as is the Mort Subite Lambic Oude Gueuze with 7% alcohol. I’m looking forward to these immensely.
