New Label For 80th Anniversary Newcastle Brown
The quintessential Northern England ale - Newcastle Brown - is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a limited edition bottle label.
The new design shows a silhouette of the iconic Tyne Bridge contained within the background of the brand’s Big Blue Star motif. The Tyne Bridge is also joined with an artist’s image of the Millennium Bridge that has spanned the Tyne between Gateshead and Newcastle since the turn of this century.
Doug Cook, Brand Manager – Newcastle Brown Ale at Scottish & Newcastle UK, said:
“The new label celebrates the history and modernity of a unique beer that was created in Newcastle in 1927 to satisfy the hard-earned thirst of local miners and shipbuilders and went on to garner universal acclaim and strong sales in more than 40 countries around the world.”

Woo-hoo! Thanks for the heads up! We love Newki-Brown here and it would be fun to have some with the new label! It really does quench the thirst of a coal miner, as one as his son are our primary consumers in this house!
