Bon Appetit’s Top Drink Picks

local-1.jpgThe folks at Bon Appetit magazine have put together their “top picks” for what they’re drinking this month.  Agree?  Disagree?  Discuss.

- Brooklyn Brewery “Local 1″ Ale.  Golden, hoppy and honeyed, this ale is brewed in the Belgian style.- Cape Mentelle 2006 Sauvignon Blanc Semillion, Margaret River, Australia.  Vibrant acidity and zesty citrus notes make this crisp white a summer favorite.

- E. Guigal 2005 Tavel, France.  Floral and fragrant, this nicely balanced rose pairs well with grilled meats.

- Terlato 2006 Pinot Grigio, Russian River Valley, California.  Notes of peaches and pears give way to a crisp finish.

- Gran Centenario Reposado Tequila, Mexico.  Aged for 10 months in French oak casks, this tequila was made for sipping, with lovely spice and almost tropical fruit flavors.
