This book is a Must-Have, it is exlelently written.

It relly helps demistify Jerry Thomas' book and It makes it wonderfully easy to replicate those old recepies.

Now, hopefully some of the spirits companies will start to make some more authentic spirits which are based on the ingrediants used in the 1800's and early 1900's

Great book Dave!

Robert,
Absolutely correct. I hope this book helps refine how bartenders see cocktails and bring a new structure which some cocktailiians have been trying to strengthen since the dark days of prohibition which crippled the cocktail culture. NEVER FORGET REPEAL DAY!!! DECEMBER 5, 1933 or PROHIBITION JAN. 16, 1919 one of the darkest days in the history of the U.S.A.

I quite agree... Probably the best cocktail book written in years... The work is seminal and is going to be a must-have for bartenders for decades...
