Fuller’s Vintage Ale

Fullers Vintage AleFuller’s Vintage Ale makes is making its brief annual appearance. Fuller’s lovers should be aware!

Because Vintage Ale is 90 percent pre-sold on allocation, only a limited number will be available in retail stores throughout the holiday season.

Using the best ingredients from each year makes Vintage Ale a truly complex and immense beer and, being bottle conditioned, the flavour changes and develops after bottling,” said Fuller’s head brew master John Keeling. “It’s a joy to brew, but even more of a joy to drink. I’d recommend buying at least two bottles, one to drink now and others to try in the future so you can experience the changes yourself.

London brewed Vintage Ale is bottle conditioned, never pasteurised, which means that yeast is still present in the bottle, allowing the process of fermentation to continue and ensuring a fresher and more natural taste. Because of this the taste of each vintage will continue to change for five to seven years after being bottled.

Fuller’s Vintage Ale is available in a stand-alone box for $6.99 - $23 depending on the year, or as part of an elegant three-bottle presentation pack that retails for $21.

Vintage Ale has cultivated a following of beer lovers who enjoy collecting and comparing the tastes of each year’s vintage. This year, a limited number of Vintage Ales from previous years will also be available and will retail for $6.99 to $23.00 per bottle depending on the vintage.

I picked up a bottle today at DiCarlos (a great booze store in Chicagoland) and am just counting down the hours until I can go home and have a taste.

Thanks for the suggestion!
