Winter Wonder: Frostbite

Winter Wonders: The Spirit World's Winter 2008 Cocktail Recipe CollectionBlue cocktails are always a favorite, there’s something about the unnatural color that appeals to a lot of people, and the Frostbite is very appealing. This drink also has a popular flavor combination going for it and when the orange and chocolate are put against a cream and tequila background, it’s simply delightful. I prefer a rich reposado tequila like Don Julio or Siembra Azul for this one and am prone to serving it on the rocks.

Frostbite

  • 1 1/2 oz tequila
  • 1/2 oz white crème de cacao
  • 1/2 oz blue curaçao
  • 1/2 oz cream
  • maraschino cherry for garnish

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or in an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
