Valentines Cocktail - Disaronno Amaro Dolce

Disaronno Amaro DolceTo help set the mood on the 14th, Disaronno Amaretto has created the scrumptious Disaronno Amaro Dolce, the perfect cocktail to treat your special Valentine.
The creation of Disaronno Amaretto can be traced all the way back to the Renaissance, one of the most romantic periods in history.  Bernardino Luini, a student of Leonardo Da Vinci, was commissioned by the local church to illustrate the Virgin Mary. The artist found inspiration in a young widowed innkeeper who became his model and muse.
The woman fell deeply in love with Luini and created an elixir that mirrored her sweet affection for him.  Too poor to buy a gift, she steeped apricot kernels in brandy and gave her loved one the resulting concoction, Disaronno Amaretto.  Luini’s painting can still be viewed in the chapel of Sante Maria delle Grazie in Saronno.  The unique taste has remained unchanged since it was first created in 1525 and has become a symbol of the passion you can share today with each sip of Disaronno Amaretto.
The Disaronno Amaro Dolce combines the sumptuous blend of Disaronno Amaretto, refreshing Campari, orange juice and sweet sugar syrup - creating an indulgent treat which will add a spark to any romantic evening.
